REPUBLIKA TICKETS
The tickets guarantee admission to all the day (SHARE, A MAZE, PAUSE, Start Up Expo) and night programs of Republika.
Visitors will receive wristbands which will allow them free movement through all the locations and programs of Republika.
Wristbands can be received on Republikas info stalls starting on Wednesday, 17th of July between 12 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Republika tickets can be bought at the event location.
All the relevant information and materials can be received on Republikas info stalls which are located inside the navy ship Galeb and both buildings of the Rikard Benčić complex.
In order to participate at the RockPaperStartUp conference http://www.netokracija.com/events/rockpaperstartups2013/ separate tickets need to be purchased. Some of the lectures are included in the Republika program, and those will be available to people holding the ticket or the Republika accreditation.
For the Hartera festival, separate tickets can be bought in Dallas Music Shop at the price of 50kn.
ACCOMMODATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP OWNERS
Accommodation for scholarship owners will be provided in the students home Ivan Goran Kovačić (address: Čandekova 4).
Check-in is possible on the 17th of July since morning hours on the students home reception desk. During check-in, all non-Croatian citizens must fill out the application form (it is free and requests the following data: first name, last name, ID card number, date
and location of entry into Croatia). It is recommended that scholarship owners carry a copy of the application form (which will be provided) with them while not in the students home. Check out needs to be done before 6 p.m., on 21st of July.
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE
Going from the students home to the event locations and viceversa is very simple as everything is located in or near the city centre, and it can be reached on foot, by public transport or by a cab.
Most of the venues for the educational and music program (Rikard Benčić, Galeb, Hartera, Tunel...) are a 30 minute walk away, and they are easily reachable by city bus lines 6, 7 and 7A.
Most of the entertainment venues (Tunel, Život, Hartera, the pier) are in the city centre, not far from Rikard Benčić and Galeb, and can be easily reached on foot or by bike.
LOCATIONS
Rikard Benčić used to be an engine factory and one of the first modern factories in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and in the following years it is set to become one of the central items of Rijekas culture with the construction of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Rijeka City Library, a hotel...
The spacious rooms of the magnificent complex have been adapted to the needs of Republika and transformed into halls for lectures, workshops, round table discussions...
Galeb used to be a warship of the Yugoslavian navy, and had actually been sunk in the middle of Rijekas port during World War II. After that it became one of the main means of transport for Josip Broz Tito on his journeys during the organization of the Non-Aligned Movement.
Although the exterior reveals the ships age and lack of care for it, the interior has been preserved in nearly authentic layout, so it will be possible to listen to some of the greatest minds of today while sitting in rooms filled with layered symbolic meanings.
The pier – one of the longest piers in Europe will serve as a stage for the musicians, all under the watchfull eye of Galeb.
Tunel – a remarkable club located under the railroad, a home of urbanity and good music.

THE PROGRAM
Lectures, workshops, round table discussions (...) aboard Galeb and in Rikard Benčić will be held from 7 p.m. till midnight, after which the entertainment program will kick off for your enjoyment. The length of each lecture will be 20-30 minutes.
The program aboard Galeb is marked in the spirit of the Share conference and ex-yu retro computers with the exhibition organized by the regions unique museum of computer science Peek&Poke. Furthermore, video projections will be held, and through the program „In bed with...“ there will be a spectacular opportunity of individual discussions with the exhibitioners in Galebs rooms!
Rikard Benčić, as a much larger venue, is the location of the rich program of the Share conference, as well as the major part of Pause and A MAZE festivals. Inside Rikard Benčić it will be possible to enjoy an amazing number of interesting lectures, a variety of workshops, round table discussions, projections, exhibitions... Furthermore, it will be the location of the Rock Paper StartUp conference, with special lectures for the visitors of Republika.

SUMMER FUN
Rijeka offers a number of city beaches to spend the day at, with the majority located on Pećine and Kantrida. There are also beaches outside the city in Kostrena and Opatija, which are somewhat more remote.
