At what times can the students home dormitories be used?
Check-in is possible on the 17th of July since morning hours. During check-in, all non-Croatian citizens must fill out the application form (it is free and requests the following data: first name, last name, ID card number, date and location of entry into Croatia). It is recommended that scholarship owners carry a copy of the application form (which will be provided) with them while not in the students home. Check out needs to be done before 18:00, on 21st of July.
What is the room schedule?
Rooms hold one or two beds, and you will be notified about the schedule in time. We will also respect your wishes to be placed in the same room with certain roommates.
Where can I get my scholarship owners wristband?
The reception desk is open 24h/day. Republika info stalls will be placed within the home and there scholarship owners can get their wristbands and info about their stay and transport to Republikas locations.
What are the rooms like?
Most of the rooms hold two beds. Every floor has available a kitchen (with a fridge), toilets and showers. All utilities are cleaned
Are the bedsheets and other utensils included?
In their rooms, the scholarship owners will find a made bed with clean bedsheets. Towels and toiletries (i.e. toothpaste, toilet paper, etc.) will not be provided and should be brought along.
Where can I leave the room key?
Rooms have to be locked, and the keys have to be left at the reception desk upon leaving the home.
Is there food available at the students home?
The messhall will unfortunately be closed during Republika. However, scholarship owners will hav coffee and drink machines at their disposal, and there is a store nearby.
Is smoking allowed in the students home?
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all of the rooms of the students home. The smoking (and non-smoking) area is in front of the home on the terrace in the shade :)
Is there parking space available?
Parking is not available within the area of the students home. The nearest parking space is located in front of the Faculty of Technology (5 min away on foot). It is free, and theres usually plenty of space during the summer.
Is there internet access?
The wireless signal covers the area of the messhall and the terrace. Scholarship owners have a classroom with 4 computers at their disposal.
Will there be one-day tickets for the event?
There are no one-day tickets.
Will there be tickets for sale at the event locations?
There will be tickets for sale at the info stall in Rikard Benčić.
What does the night program consist of?
Republika deals with important topics, ideas and changes, but in order to avoid saturation and fatigue, music has been added as a very important element of the festival.
Every evening, the night program will gather a great number of artists from the region and the world who will present their new tendencies in contemporary music on several
popular locations in the city such as the pier, the clubs Tunel and Život, and one of the nearby beaches.
