The Perfect Woman

Perfect Woman" is a Kinect game created by Peter Lu from LA and Lea Schönfelder from Ludwigsburg. In an ironic way the game asks the player to be as perfect as possible which can be very difficult depending on your body's flexibility. Lea Schönfelder uses games as an artistic medium and her work in turn spark public debate. The game "UlitsaDimitrova", for example, was discussed by the Duma to be banned from the Russian audience.

Lea Schönfelder is an animator and game designer. She studied Illustration, Animation and New Media at the School of Art and Design in Kassel, Germany. She has produced several computer games including ‘Ulitsa Dimitrova’ and ‘Ute: A game for adults’. Her work has been presented worldwide in various festivals and exhibitions work has been widely recognized and has been awarded numerous awards. Her games often deal with controversial questions surrounding gender, ethics, documentary, and everyday experience and sometimes spark public debate. The Russian Parliament discussed to ban her game ‘Ulitsa Dimitrova’ from the Russian audience, and ‘Ute’ has been prevented funding as a result of its controversial subject matter.
Lea is currently a graduate student in Interactive Media at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy and a visiting artist in resistance at the UCLA Game Lab.
